Earn Money Online From Home Working for Textbroker
If you truly have an interest is working from home as a writer, then you
should definitely take a look at what “Textbroker”
has to offer. Textbroker has a loyal
customer base and they hire writers at a reasonable price. This is a great place to start if you are
trying to break into the Work From Home Writing Business.
Getting started is quite simple.
First, go to www.textbroker.com and signup for an
account. The signup form will require
basic information such as your name, address and phone number. They will also
have you fill out a tax form. If you don’t want to fill out a tax form, you can
do it later. For U.S. Citizens, I
recommend you get an Employer Identification Number or EIN for short (Employer
Identification Numbers are issued for the purpose of tax administration and are
not intended for participation in any other activities (e.g., tax lien auction
or sales, lotteries, etc.). Applying for an EIN is free and simple. However, it is not required. However, if you don’t use an EIN, you will be required to provide your SSN.
After signing up, you apply for writing privileges. As a part of the
screening process, you will be required to provide a writing sample based on a
topic of Textbroker’s choosing. The better you do, the higher your rating and
the more you get paid.
Your Profile
While you are waiting for Textbroker to review your sample, set up your
profile by going to the profile page and answering the questions found at the
tabs. If you wish, you can include
additional writing samples.
Note that you can set your rate for private clients but you need to
reasonable or lose the job to someone else.
By default, Textbroker will set it at the same rate as your review but you
are able to adjust the rate.
Assignments
After you build a reputation for quality work, you will likely receive
repeat business. In fact, you will come
across instances where a client will contact you directly. These direct orders
will not appear in the general assignment board. When this happens, you will be notified
through both email and on your Dashboard that you have a direct order.
Team Work
If you like working with others, you apply to and join a team of writers
based around a particular topic. This
can be very profitable and is especially good for new writers because once you
are accepted into the team you are given the same pay and equal status as the
other members of the team.
Team writing doesn’t necessarily equate to making a lot of money, but it does
help get work.
The Rating System
You will be rated based on your writing skill level. The initial review of your article will give
you a base rating. If you are rated as
at an average of 3, then you can only choose assignments from the 2 and 3 star
categories. To increase your ratings and
pay, you need to consistently receive a rating between 4 and 5. Don’t worry, if you get a low rating in the
beginning, you can improve.
